Directly. Today, Monday, August 3, 2020, just 5 years ago I made the best decision of my life (on a professional level).
On this day, 5 years ago, I signed an employment contract with a small, but really small, company called Axazure. I remember quite fondly the day I went to do the interview. Antonio was there waiting for me with the rest of the team (2 more people 🤣), actually it wasn’t even an interview, because he didn’t let me speak, he just started telling me everything he had in mind, with full transparency.
It is true that I came from talking to other bigger companies that could offer other better things, including job stability, but that day, I left the office knowing that I was going to be part of that super team (the boss, the marketing director and the junior), and above all, I was excited to help build and be part of something bigger, from the beginning. (That’s right, Antonio had deceived me, but in a big way…).
It has been a wonderful 5 years, 5 years of working very hard, but enjoying work, 5 years of meeting great people and great professionals, 5 years of learning like never before, 5 years that have only reaffirmed that hard decision.
In these 5 years we have gone from being in a tiny office, to being officially considered a Great place to work, from being a company of 3 people to 35 …, 35 colleagues and friends with whom it is a pleasure to work,to talk , to go out for beers, to play sports, to go out for partying, really, it’s a pleasure to have all these people day by day by my side.
I don’t want to go on much longer, so Antonio, thanks for trusting me 5 years ago for this madness. Hugo, Demian, you are the best professionals I have ever met, it is a pleasure to learn from you every day. This hard period that we are going through worldwide, has made my admiration for you 3 even greater, it is a pride to be part of a group that cares about its people as you do. Adri, Ferni, Jorge, Agus, Greg, Javis you are the best team anyone can have, by far, thanks for teaching me so much day by day, and for putting up with my shit and my jokes. Rest of Axazure team, I can’t name you all, (I mean, I can, but it would be weird, right?), you are awesome.
So, 5 years is nothing… if you compare it with everything that is coming!! As you already know… Axazure Rocks!!! 🤟
